The owners recall a week in the summer of 1992 when they ran around town, scrambling to buy a delivery truck. Produce buyers wanted better quality and service, and they knew they could provide it – but first a truck was needed. Finally, they stumbled across a vehicle they could work with: a gold van that was affectionately nick-named “Goldie”.  After some remodeling (that included the removal of 12-year old shag carpet, and fixing brake lights and fuel lines that had been ‘pieced together' with electrical tape) the guys were ready to go to work.

Today, we still share stories about “Goldie” and the deliveries she made during her 500,000 mile run – just as today, and every day, Third Coast delivers quality and service with a “hands-on” approach that emphasizes added value.
